Kyle's summer of fun starts ........................ NOW! Grandma and Grandpa P surprised Kyle with an early birthday present yesterday - a new swing/slide play set for their backyard. Uncle Kevin and Krystle put the set together yesterday while Ky was over visiting Grams. So far he's very into the slide and the swing. When he eventually discovers the secret tunnel and rock climbing access in back, there'll be even more fun to be had. Thanks Grammy and Grandpa!

Memorial Day at Auntie Donna's
Today we went by Chris's Auntie Donna's for some more good eats - Italian sausage, pasta salad, watermelon, and cupcakes. Kyle enjoyed playing some musical tunes on the piano and keyboard. He also had fun people watching out Auntie Donna's big front window, and helping Grandpa A ("Buppa") play the guitar.
Memorial Day BBQ at the Peterson's
On Sunday we went over to Grandma and Grandpa P's for some Italian sausage, corn on the cob, and apple pie. Kyle got in a little grass time before dinner. He sure loves crawling around and exploring all that cool green stuff outside. Ky also got a kick out of Grandpa P's crutches. Grandpa had to have knee surgery about two weeks ago, but thankfully seems to be doing much better ;)
Friday Night Fun
After chopping off a good chunk of my hair Friday afternoon, I met my good friend Amy up for dinner and drinks at Houlihans in Park Ridge. Great start to the three day weekend!

Hanging with T!
Kyle spends Mondays with AunTie Robo, whom he once called "T" - probably for short ;) - so we occasionally use "T" as a nickname. Well, yesterday sure was a hot one, so "T" took Kyle to the park and sent me some pics of their adventures.

Rub A Dub Dub, Kyle in the Big Tub!
After our picnic in the park, we decided to give Kyle a bath in the big tub. Up until now, he's always had his baths in his baby tub, but the last few time we've noticed that he is definitely starting to outgrow it (i.e. he keeps trying to stand up in it, lean over, climb out, etc.). So, what we did was fill the regular tub in our bathroom, place our laundry basket in the tub, and put Kyle in the tub along with a bunch of rubber duckies for company. We thought it looked pretty inviting, but Ky was not having it. He kept trying to stand up in their and motion for "uppy uppy uppy". I got pretty soaked with him trying to cling to me, but we're not giving up. We'll try the big tub again this week!
Panera Picnic in the Park!
Sunday was beautiful. We definitely took advantage of the nice weather by strolling to Panera and enjoying some delicious ham and swiss sandwiches at our favorite park (as well as a little Baskin Robbins on the way home. Hey, at least we were walking!). It was also Kyle's first time wearing sunscreen.
Happy 30th Birthday, Sean!
Well, it was a pretty big birthday weekend for our family. We celebrated Gram's (May 19, 1923) 90th and cousin Sean's 30th (May 18, 1983).
