Sunday Funday

Even though the Bears had their first lost of the season today to the Detroit Lions, Kyle still had fun waving his flag and hanging out with Daddy and his friends. After church we went over to "Uncle Bobby's" (Rob and Jen's) to watch the first half of the game (pre nap time) and run around in their huge backyard. After nap time, Auntie LoLo came to visit us :) She got to see a sneak peak at Ky's Halloween costume and thinks he'll be adorable :)

September on the Farm

Last Sunday (9/22) and this past Saturday (9/28), Kyle and I spent some quality time at Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm. Last weekend, we were accompanied by Auntie LoLo. This weekend, we had Daddy with us. Both trips were a blast. Kyle absolutely loved touching all the pumpkins ("circles"), feeding the animals carrots, and crawling through the tunnels. He also really enjoyed playing in the corn box with Daddy, eating pizza, and running around in the open grass. Great start to fall :)

2nd Haircut!

Yesterday afternoon I took Kyle to get his 2nd haircut. He probably could have used it a few weeks ago, but at the rate his hair grows we can only afford to treat his haircuts like oil changes - one every 3 months or so :) For the first 45 seconds, Kyle was as happy as a clam. He loved beeping the horn and pressing the buttons inside his firetruck chair. He loved when the stylist spritzed his hair with water (/wawa/). Then. All of a sudden. 45 seconds in. The tables turned. "Out! Out!" he shouted over and over. "Mama! Mama!" Trying to stand up in his chair, brush the scissors away from his head, and grab onto me. I did my best to hold him in place for another 5 minutes or so, before the stylist got a little tired of this game (even though it's a baby/children's salon and I'm sure this must happen from time to time) and asked me to sit in one of the chairs and hold him on my lap. Up. Down. Left. Right. Ky was climbing all over me. Luckily my iphone distracted eventually distracted him for a bit and he was able to get a nice little haircut (and I was able to get a nice "little" dusting of all his old hairs).
