Jump, Jump, For Your Love

At first we thought Kyle was going to be an early crawler. Now we think he might just skip crawling all together and move straight on to walking! He's much more interested in chewing on his hands, than using them for motion anyway; however, he does seems to love whenever we prop him up and let him bounce around on his feet. To give him a little support, we decided to put together his little door jumper today. He got a taste of playing around in Ryan's jumper during our trip to Michigan last weekend and seemed eager for seconds ;)

Little Date at the Park

Today was just gorgeous! Comfortable summer weather makes for a perfect fall afternoon. Can't beat that. Since Lauren decided to spend the weekend in Park Ridge, Kyle and I arranged to meet up with her for a little date at the park near my parents' house. As soon as Kyle went down the kiddie slide a few times (with Lauren and I), a couple of three-year-old kids came running over and started showing him how to go down penguin style, on your belly. They were pretty proud of themselves, and pretty cute at that. We thanked them and said that he would maybe try that move out next time ;)

Pizza Party Night!

To celebrate the end of what started out to be nothing more than a lazy, housebound week, Auntie LoLo came over for a pizza party kind of Friday night. She brought a delicious salad from Whole Foods to complement our Costco pizzas, and hung out with Ky and I while Chris went out to celebrate his friend's 30th birthday. We love when Auntie LoLo visits!!!

Play Time

Since Ky's been a little sickie this week, we've been pretty housebound, just trying to have as much fun as we can hanging out in our living room, sitting in our big boy chair, smiling for the camera ;)

Sick Chick :(

Since about last Monday, Kyle's been a little under the weather. No fever, but plenty of sniffles, congestion, and little runny noses. Poor Ky Ky. Since we've witnessed that famous lower lip of his surface more than normal this week, we decided it was as good a time as any to bust out his elephant humidifier to help soothe our little guy and get him back into tip top shape. Feel better Sweet Boy!

Celebrating a Bears' Win at the Park!

After today's Bears' win over the Rams, the three of us headed over to the park to enjoy such a beautiful, crisp afternoon. Hope you all did the same!

New Buffalo, Michigan

This weekend we loaded up the car and headed out to New Buffalo, Michigan to meet up with the Tolentinos, Vonderheides, Hammerles, and Wycklendts for two days of rain, relaxation, and really good friends, food, and fun. In spite of the rainy weather, the outdoor hot tub seemed to get a lot of use, and we were able to explore the town a little bit, roast some marshmallows on the bonfire, and watch out for that scary troll/werewolf creeping in the woods! Kyle seemed to get a kick out of watching all the big kids do their thing, and he can't wait to join in as soon as he gets him wheels in motion ;)
