Such a Brave Boy!

Today was Kyle's 2 month check-up with his pediatrician. The appointment started off really well. Kyle was all smiles, gazing at all the glorious frames of all the cute baby girl and cute baby boy pictures. He loves this. He also loves getting weighed and getting measured (unlike his Mommy). Kyle is now 12 pounds 10.5 ounces. This places him somewhere in the 50th to 75th percentile for weight. Pretty average. In terms of height, Kyle measured in at 23.5 inches. This places him somewhere in the 75th to 80th percentile, so he is actually a little above average in this category (unlike his Daddy). We'll take it! His belly button is also healing nicely and the right/flatter side of his head is looking better ... more tummy time and we're good to go ;) After hearing all this great news about Kyle's progress, and looking down at my smiley baby boy, I felt horrible when the nurses came in and asked me to hold his arms down so that they could each give him a shot simultaneously in each leg. As soon as I saw both needles pierce his fair skin, WATERWORKS! Kyle was howling. Just howling. I don't blame him. If someone did that to me, I would most definitely have the exact same reaction. If he were a little older, or swallowing solid foods, this is when I would take my little boy out for ice cream, but he eventually put on a brave face for the nurses and we left the office with a slight grin on his face and froggie blanket in hand.

Tuckered out. Napping on Mommy :)
