First Solids!

Saturday night was a big milestone in Kyle's life. It was his first attempt at eating solid food. Yay Ky ;) He really got a kick out of sitting in his high chair at the kitchen table. Normally we just have him in his bouncy seat next to the table, but since that is so low to the ground, I think he really loved being eye level with us for a change. I mixed up a tablespoon of rice cereal with his milk, and as soon as Kyle saw the rubber spoon coming toward his mouth, he grabbed at it and pulled it in as quickly as he could. Of course the milk splashed everywhere, but he did manage to get a lot of it in his tummy, as well. Kyle's been watching us use silverware for a while now, so I think he has some idea of what it's used for, but it's definitely a learning process. He did great though, and when we tried it again Sunday night, even less ended up all over him, so I think we're making progress already ;) It's really wonderful to watch him learn new things.
