Last Saturday we celebrated Jacob and Jason's high school graduations in Downers Grove. It was a beautiful summer night ... perfect weather. We all sported our Hawks gear (thank you Grandpa) in support of Game 2 (which unfortunately they lost). Kyle made a little friend named Riley (a 1st grader) and enjoyed swinging in Uncle Mark's hammock with her. He also loved all the tiny rocks surrounding their fire pit.

Ryan's Graduation Party!

My cousin Ryan graduated from Marquette University this month, and has accepted a job with Amazon. We celebrated out in Wheaton last weekend on a perfect summer night. Kyle had a great time outdoors with cousin Reagan. In fact, she and him didn't leave this swing for over half an hour.

Graduation Games

Sunday afternoon we stopped by our neighbors' house. They were celebrating their son's high school graduation with a dunk tank, giant game of Kerplunk and Jenga, and of course bags. Kyle really liked the Kerplunk. So much fun pulling out the sticks and watching the balls fall! He also liked helping the soon-to-be college boys restack their Jenga blocks.

Oh My!

Last Saturday we went to my cousin Aubrey's pinning party. We're happy to hear she's finished with nursing school and in the process of buying her first home in Springfield, IL with her fiance, Trevor. At the party, two 16-month-old twin girls who Aubrey babysits for were a little more than intrigued by Kyle. One of the girls - Charlotte - even went ahead and let everyone know her true feelings by planting a wet one on my innocent little boy! His first kiss. Definitely too much for me to handle.

Block Party

Saturday morning Kyle and I headed over to Buppa and Nana's block party while Chris attended a fancy shmancy bachelor party at the race track. It was a cool start to the day, but Kyle had fun watching all of the neighborhood kids get their faces painted by Nana (later on, Ky got his cheek painted with a cool CUBS logo). He also took his job as the Official Block Party Flag Waver very seriously and was happy to parade down the block with Buppa. After a quick nap, we met up with Chris and went to his cousin Mikey's college graduation party. Congrats, Mikey! Way to go! At the party, Kyle finally got to meet the other Kyle .. Mikey's 5-year-old cousin on the other side of the family. What a smart kid! He's going places for sure ;)

Our friend Jenny graduated from nursing school on Saturday. She and Rob invited the three of us over to hang out in their beautiful backyard to enjoy the nice weather and celebrate her success.

Anniversaries, Graduations, and Birthdays ... Oh My!

Last night we met up with Chris' family to celebrate his parents' anniversary, Amy's graduation, and Maggie's 30th birthday ... plenty of good reasons to get together ;) We had some delicious food and played hot potato with Kyle ... everyone got a turn to hold him as we passed him around the table. He was a good boy and slept through most of the meal.
