We HEART Chickie!! (Part 5)

I had my weekly doctor's appointment today, and I've finally progressed to a whooping 0.5 cm dilated!! Wowzers :) Today's check-up definitely trumps last week's for the most painful moment of my life (thus far). Ouch. That's all I can say. Chickie is still head down, and when I say head down, I mean head VERY down. Chickie is very low despite the fact that I'm still not very dilated. At all. So, with that news, it looks like Chickie probably won't be coming out to meet us tomorrow after all :( My next appointment is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. They're hoping that maybe Chickie will come naturally over the weekend (or sometime between Monday and Tuesday), but if he/she doesn't show up by Tuesday, I will have a 40-week ultrasound, which will help them assess whether or not they plan to induce me or wait it out further. Today Chickie's heartbeat was in the high 130s. Absolutely Perfect. We pray for a healthy, happy little Chicken Fry :)

Over the past few weekends, we've really been working hard to get everything ready for Chickie's arrival. This past weekend has been no exception. After Benny's birthday party, we decided to make a stop at Best Buy to check out their camera selection. We played around with a variety of models for over an hour, and after talking with one of the sales reps, decided to put our faith - and our money - in the new Nikon CoolPix P510. Now we can be just as cool as Ashton Kutcher (minus the whole infidelity scandal of 2011). What ultimately sold us on the camera was a combination of its high quality, 42X zoom lens, which promises to deliver sharp images, its integrated GPS, and its light weight and ease of portability. We weren't looking for more cargo to lug around, and wanted something a little more digital to assist with our amateur photography skills.
