Speaking of awesome packages, Kyle's very first package in the mail came a few days after he was born. Grandpa P studied at the University of Montana before heading down to Champaign. He felt the need to represent his beginnings by sending Kyle a college onsie - perfect size for football season! We'll still be rooting on the Illini here!

My AMAZING friend Erin just sent the cutest package ever for the Ky Ky man. He woke up 45 minutes early from his morning nap he was so excited! Since Kyle's nursery is filled with owls, she went above and beyond (as usual) and customized some awesome owl inspired things for Kyle, including a framed picture of his name (just what I need to fill the ugly gap on his dresser), two super cute outfits that I can't wait to put him in, and an owl stuffed animal. Thanks for being so thoughtful (and crafty). Please come visit Kyle soon!

Rookie of the Year!

Kyle and I pretty much play catch every morning. I know it's mid-season, but it's never too early to train for next year. Next year. There's always next year, and it might just be the one for Kyle and the Cubbies!!

Kyle L.O.V.E.S. Frames (or pictures) ;)

We finally got a few of our professional pictures framed (thanks to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and their 20% coupons that NEVER expire) and hung (thanks to Chris and his big boy tool kit). It's a good thing too. Not only do the pictures add a little something to the nursery. They add a little something to Kyle's smile. Well, at least the frames do. Kyle LOVES frames! The verdict's still not out about the pictures. Or maybe it's the other way around? Who knows, but either way he is one smiley guy during diaper duty since the frames are on the wall next to his changing table.
