Just the, Bear Necessities

For Christmas, Ky got a big teddy bear from Grandma and Grandpa P. I originally wanted to name him Ted, but Kyle and Daddy collaborated and they came up with something much better: Baloo. Suits him well. Ky likes lounging around in the jungle with his new soft pal.

NYE 2012!

Last night, Chris and I celebrated New Year's Eve by attending the wedding of James and Niki Mahon. James is one of Chris's best friend's (Rob's) brother. The entire place was sparkling, the champagne was popping, and the steaks were delicious. Chris and I got a chance to take a dip in the pool, and even enjoy the hotel hot tub before returning home to our sweet little boy, who, by the way, had a great time ringing in the new year with Grandma and Grandpa P ;)

Mmmm Sweet Potatoes!

So far, Kyle's list of solids consists of rice cereal, carrots, peas, and now sweet potatoes. And boy did he sure love his sweet potatoes. He devoured them so quickly that we're pretty sure he would have eaten the whole bowl if we didn't stop him ;) We're trying to alternate orange and green veggies before moving on to fruits, so next week will be green beans. Stay tuned ...

Snowsuit!

Thanks for my new Snowsuit, Grandma A. It keeps me nice and warm, just like Randy from "A Christmas Story" ;)

The Bears won their last game of the season against the Detroit Lions ... not enough to get them into the playoffs this year, but a win none the less.

Movie Dinner Date

Last Friday, Chris and I finally cashed in on some of our AMC gift cards and went out to see "The Hobbit" while Kyle played with Grandma and Grandpa A. We enjoyed more than our fair share of movie theater popcorn, loaded with butter, and a bag of reeses pieces ... so bad, yet sooooo good ;) Afterward we went to this french restaurant we've been dying to try out where we feasted on brie, creme brulee, and some other fine fixings in between. Yum. Yum. Yum.
