Friday night, Ky spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa P's while Sarah, John, Chris, and myself went to a wine and painting class at the Bottle and Bottega in Lakeview. So much fun! Check it out ;)

Super Ky!

Thursday night was Open House night for the 1st and 2nd graders (and their parents) at my school. It was a long night for me, but a fun night for Ky and Daddy. They found his cool new Superman pjs ;)

Dear Santa

It may be May 6th already, yet Kyle managed to pull out his Christmas letter from Santa telling him what a good boy he's been all year. Apparently we have some major spring cleaning to do around here.

He Likes Mashed Potatoes, He Likes Them Not?

Introducing Ky to new foods is always interesting. There might be several days in a row where he absolutely HATES a new food/food texture, and then all of a sudden he'll devour a whole bowl of whatever that food may be. That's why we never quite know how long to stick with a food that he seems to detest. Until our patience runs out I guess! Because so far Ky seems to come around to pretty much anything. Case in point: Monday and Tuesday night he WOULD NOT let any speck of mashed potato enter his mouth (see pics below). Then all of a sudden, he LOVED them Wednesday night. Weird, yet expected. Usually when Ky refuses food, we still let him experiment with using the spoon by himself and playing with it with his fingers. We want him to get to understand what this whole eating thing is all about.

80° + = An Evening Stroll to the Park!

After dinner, while Chris was off meeting our new tenants, Ky and I took a stroll to the park. On our way to and from the park we ran into Grandpa P who was busy escorting Boo home from visiting Dzia at the nursing home. What a nice surprise!
