ICE CREAM AND GRAMMA!

After the Shed, we picked up three cups of ice cream, one for each of us, and met Gramma back at our place for some hugs and present opening. She brought Ky and fun balloon. Thanks for visiting!

Shed Aquarium

We had plans to enjoy a nice little Monday looking at fishies at the Shed Aquarium. Unfortunately, so did the rest of the greater Chicagoland area. Apparently Monday was one of the Shed's designated free general admission days, and with it being the first day of summer school for many, tons and tons of summer camps were there, along with visitors from other states. It took us 2 hours to get down there - even at 10:30 am on a Monday - and once we were there we waited in line for a good hour. Once we were finally inside, Kyle was so crabby and ready to eat, so we found him a little corner to have some cheerios and milk. We probably only stayed about 30 minutes total, but I must say, what little Kyle saw he definitely did like. He enjoyed watching the fish up close. We will definitely come again, just not on a free general admission day. We'll also have to get there early and make a whole day out of it. At least we can be better prepared next time!

WAKE UP!

Kyle had a yummy birthday breakfast: waffles, banana nana nanas, and milk. After breakfast, Buppa and Nana stopped by to wish him a happy bday and to open his present - a new Toy Story racer. How cool!

W! CUBBIES! W!

Sunday was supposed to thunderstorm all day long, but Kyle lucked out and had a pretty beautiful day all and all for his first trip to Wrigley Field. He really enjoyed his first ride on the red line, and the Cubs beat the Pirates 4-1, so it was a great day for Ky. GO CUBBIES! After enduring the first three innings surrounded by other babies and toddlers, we found a little more wiggle room by relocating to the 200s along the third base side. We were able to spread out across an entire row and enjoy the rest of the game. Later on we met up with Auntie K and fam to celebrate the Cub's victory and Cousin Katie being in town.

Happy Birthday, Jen!

After taking a few hours off to nap and regroup, the three of us stopped by Rob and Jen Mahon's to wish Jen a "Happy Birthday" as well. Ky played some bags and had fun in the grass as usual.
