Last Friday Kyle and I visited my Gramma at the Danish Home. She recently moved to a room on the first floor with a million dollar view of the outdoor garden/courtyard. GG was so excited that Kyle was there, so much so, that she couldn't help dialing Grandpa and Auntie Robo to let them know that "the baby" was over. Kyle just liked pressing all the buttons while GG was on the phone ;)

Just Like Daddy
Over the past two or three weeks, we have had a noticeable increase in fly activity in our place. Gross. As a result, Chris has taken up a new title: Official Fly Swatter Extraordinaire. Kyle laughs and laughs at Chris as he swats around the swatter. Today he picked up a swatter of his own and started swinging and laughing. What a character.
Stayin' Cool at the Pool
Another beautiful morning at the pool. So far Ky can keep his cool in the pool for a good hour. Mommy would like to at least double that, but I'll take what I can get ;)
Chef Mickey's
Since Kyle is throwing food on the floor here and there, Chris and I thought maybe part of that has to do with the fact that we feed him a lot of the same types of food over and over. A typical breakfast consists of bananas, milk, and cheerios or peanut butter toast. To test this theory, I went all out this morning. Our kitchen magically transformed into Chef Mickey's. We made Mickey pancakes and eggs, garnished with yummy peaches. Kyle ate most of his breakfast right up, and although he only finished about 3/4 of it, nothing fell on the floor. Success!
More Mealtime Silliness
Kyle is sort of in that stage where he thinks it's super funny to throw food on the floor. So now whenever it is time to eat, I really have to pull whatever I can out of my bag of tricks to entertain him and keep his mind off of pulling a "no-no". We make a lot of silly faces, characters dance to made up tunes, and a lot of random objects end up on my head ;)
Another New Park
Tuesday Kyle and I went to visit Grammy. It was a little rainy, but that didn't stop us from venturing out to Grammy's cool park down the block. I got a little wet going down the ginormous slides (Oh the things I do for this kid!), but the giggles that erupted in my arms made it totally worth it. Grammy and Ky played a little music, too.
They sounded so good :)
They sounded so good :)
New Kid Old Block
Monday morning I decided I wanted to change things up a bit with Kyle. Instead of heading out to our neighborhood park, we ran a few errands near the condo that Chris and I rent out and enjoyed a nice morning adventure through the park where I must have ran hundreds of miles. It was lots of fun showing Kyle around our old neighborhood. He did a lot of walking between our condo and the park. What a big boy!
