Alphabet Soup

Kyle loves to be in the kitchen with me while I'm cooking dinner. Lately he's been wanting me to pick him up and let him stir whatever is on the stove (/poon/ /poon/ he says for spoon, or /pot/ /pot/). When my arms get a little tired of that, I now pull out a small pot for him along with one of his spoons. He likes to take his magnetic letters off of the fridge and stir up some good eats of his own. What a good little chef :)

Happy Belated Labor Day!

Nana and Buppa had Kyle and Chris over last Monday for a little Labor Day/End of Summer feast. I got to catch the tail end of it on my way home from party planning (my friends and I were busy decorating for our friend's bachelorette party). Aunty Amy asked Kyle to be the Ring Bearer in her 2014 wedding. Chris and I will also get to stand up. Looking forward to it!

Labor Day Baptisms

Last weekend - Labor Day Weekend - we went to celebrate the baptisms of two beautiful baby girls - Emma and Gia. Emma is Chris's best friend Matt's 3 month-old, and Gia is her 4.5 month-old cousin (mom is Matt's sister Jessica). In between the ceremony and after party, we visited GG who lives across the street from Matt and Jessica's parents in Chicago. It was a beautiful day. Kyle enjoyed running around outside and meeting his new little friends.

Kevin's girlfriend Krystle rescued him from his dark and dirty tank at my parents' house. I'll miss the little guy, but who wouldn't want to live here!? Check it out.

Happy Birthday, Sarah!

Last Friday, my cousin Sarah's boyfriend John surprised her with a sushi dinner with friends and family. I was a half hour late thanks to the horrible 20 minute storm we had (It took me almost 45 minutes just to get to the highway from my place ... good thing I left super early!), but soon enough the weather cleared and it was a beautiful night to be out and about in Chicago.

Last week at Grammy and Grandpa's, Kyle got a hold of my old Daisy Duck hat from Disneyland. He loves hats, and this one fit perfectly. Daddy wasn't as thrilled as I was. Since then Daisy has been replaced with both a Donald and a Goofy hat (both Uncle Kevin's), although we have no pics to prove that :) I think it's cute :)
