Zoo Race!

This past Sunday was the second year in a row that Chris and I ran the 5K Lincoln Park Zoo race with our good friends Amy and Erin. We finished in under 30 minutes. Amy and Erin joined us about a half hour after that (they walked most of it!), and then the four of us went out to brunch - our favorite part of the race :) Last year it rained during the race, and everyone was dodging puddles. This year we couldn't have asked for better weather. What a beautiful morning to run around the lake front.

Saturday night, Chris's old co-worker, Lenzlee, married her long-time boyfriend, Jon. Many of Chris's former co-workers were invited to the celebration. He really enjoyed getting to catch up with all of them. Lasting memory of the night: the lobster bisque, best I've ever had! The photo booth was also a big hit with guests.

Monkeying Around!

Last Saturday, we took Kyle to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Although he was aware of the animals this year, and seemed to like them enough, Kyle absolutely loved running around the park, literally. He was a non-stop powerhouse from the time we got there to the time we left. While there, Chris and I picked up our race t-shirts for the following Sunday, We were gearing up to participate in our second annual Zoo Run.
